What you get on day one
Everything is already switched on
Most free plans are a hallway with locked doors. This one isn’t. You came for one thing — the rest is already running in your account, and none of it is behind an upgrade.
- 01
Customers & jobs
Unlimited customer records, scheduling, dispatch and job costing. The core of the business, not a teaser of it.
- 02
Estimates & invoices
Build it on site, send it before you leave the driveway, get paid from the phone. No cap on how many.
- 03
Your website
Built by AI in minutes and live on your own domain — bring one you own — with lead capture wired straight into the same customer list.
- 04
Max Ads
Build and target local ad campaigns free — the tool costs nothing, however many you make. You only pay to run one, on the daily budget you set. Google today, Meta next.
- 05
AI receptionist — on Growth, $49
Answers when you're under a sink and can't. Takes the details, books the job, texts you the summary. The one feature worth leaving free for, and your first 14 days include it.
- 06
Materials
Live supplier pricing pulled straight into your estimates, so your margin is right the first time.
One thing worth saying plainly: building and targeting ad campaigns in Max Ads is completely free — no limit, no subscription, however many you write. You only pay once you choose to run one, and what you pay is the daily budget you set yourself. Campaigns run on Google today, with Meta coming next.
All six, switched on today. No card.
Built for the person in the truck
Your whole office fits in your pocket
A one-truck shop has no dispatcher, no bookkeeper and no desk to go back to at five o’clock. Swivl’s mobile app is not a companion to the real product — it is the real product. Thumb-friendly, one-handed, usable standing in a crawlspace with a flashlight in your teeth.
Who owes me money?
Two invoices are past due — $6,920 between them.
Sent a payment reminder to both.
Am I free Thursday afternoon?
One job at 9am, nothing after 11.
Held 2pm for the Delgado quote.
Invoice the Hendersons for today.
6.5 hours, materials and one trip — $1,340.
Created invoice #1084 and sent it.
Ask about your business…
Max, in the Swivl app. Included on the free plan.
Not a help widget
A full AI conversation, in the app
Max is a complete AI assistant built into the phone app, not a chatbot that answers questions about the software. Ask it anything about your business in plain English — it answers from your own customers, jobs, estimates and invoices, then does the work. Chase a payment, move a job, draft a quote. No menus to learn and no desktop to go back to.
Everything runs from the phone
Schedule, dispatch, quote, invoice and take payment without opening a laptop. Nothing is desktop-only.
Know where the crew is
Dispatch to whoever is closest and show the customer a real arrival time, backed by a timestamped record of when the job started and finished.
Job photos, in the right place
Shoot before-and-afters straight into the job record. They attach to the invoice, so the customer sees what they paid for.
Works where signal doesn't
Basements, attics, new construction. Keep working and it syncs when you're back on a bar.
The one to try first
AI Walkthrough
The fastest estimate you will ever build, and it only exists on the phone. Hit start, walk the job, and talk the way you’d talk to your customer.
- 1
Press start and describe the work
Out loud, in your own words, as you walk through it. No forms, no line-item picker.
- 2
Photograph what you're talking about
Tap the button as you go. Each shot attaches to the part of the job you just described.
- 3
Max writes the estimate
Scoped from what you said and shot, priced against live materials cost. Review it, adjust it, send it before you're back in the van.
Replacing a 40-gallon heater, new expansion tank, two shut-offs.
Got it. Scoped from what you said and the four photos, priced against today's material cost.
Drafted a $2,180 estimate. Ready to send.
The honest part
What “free” costs
Nothing, for the work itself. The only thing metered is consumption — AI, text messages, GPS and storage run on credits, because those cost us money every time they run. Starter includes 250 credits a month, and they reset every month.
| AI Estimator | ~60 credits/estimate |
|---|---|
| AI Receptionist — Growth and up | 10 credits/minute |
| AI Website Builder | 200 credits/month |
| Instant Quote | 20 credits/quote received |
| SMS Automations | 1 credit/text |
| GPS Tracking — Scale Pro and up | 5 credits/hour per tech |
| Media & Storage | 10 credits/GB |
| AI Document Scanner | 1 credit/page |
| AI Text Input | 1 credit/page |
| MAX Ads | Free to build |
Scheduling a job, adding a customer, building an estimate by hand, sending an invoice and taking payment cost zero credits. Run the business all month and never spend one. Card payments carry a processing fee, charged by the payment processor rather than by us — the software is free either way.
Bigger crew, heavier usage
Running a bigger shop, or planning to lean on the AI?
250 credits covers a lot of businesses. It will not cover all of them. If you have a crew of ten, or you intend to run the estimator and the receptionist hard, the honest answer is that you would land on a paid plan — so work out which one, next to what you would stop paying everywhere else.

“I didn’t pay for anything. I didn’t buy a dollar’s worth of anything.”
Matt found Swivl through a Facebook ad and runs his plumbing business on the free plan.

I found Swivl on Facebook, through a Facebook ad, and I looked at the comments. Then I contacted you guys and off the bat I had a good feeling about it. And you have been amazing. I mean, look at what you guys have done for me since I started using it. I mean, I didn’t pay for anything, I didn’t buy a dollar’s worth of anything. And you guys had the developers change functions on the app so it would work for me. I mean, listen, that’s night and day difference.
“Excellent for startups. The support team is incredibly helpful and the free-tier features are more than enough to get started. Highly recommend for any small field service business.”
“Swivl allowed me to present our plumbing business in such a professional way — I can create professional-looking quotes and email them, or my guys can present them in the field and even collect deposits right there.”
How the category prices
Everyone else charges by the head
Field service software is priced per user, per month, which means the moment you hire your third tech your software bill goes up. That’s the model we’re competing with — not a feature list.
Jobber
$49/mo
- →No free plan — billing starts on day one.
- →Priced per user, so every tech you hire raises the bill.
- →No website builder, so that's another subscription.
Housecall Pro
$59/mo (billed annually; $79 month-to-month)
- →No free plan — the entry tier is the cheapest way in.
- →Seats are capped by tier; more people means a higher plan.
- →No website builder, so that's another subscription.
Swivl

The questions that come next
- Is the free plan really free, or is it a trial?
- The Starter plan is free forever — no end date, no card on file and no sales call. Users, customers, jobs, estimates, invoices and crew clock-ins are all unlimited. Consumption is metered — AI, texts and storage run on credits, and Starter includes 250 a month. Two features need a paid plan rather than credits: the AI Receptionist, from Growth at $49, and GPS on the map, from Scale Pro at $149. Every new account starts with 14 days on Scale Pro so you can try them. Those 14 days do end — on day 15 the account moves to Starter and keeps running.
- Does adding my crew cost more?
- No. Users are unlimited on every plan, including the free one. Add every technician, every subcontractor and everyone in the office at no charge. You only move up a plan on usage — how many credits you get through in a month — never on headcount.
- How long does it take to get set up?
- You can sign up, add your first customer and send an estimate the same afternoon. There is no implementation project and no onboarding fee. If you would rather be walked through it, a free 30-minute onboarding call is available on any plan.
- Can I bring my existing customers across?
- Yes. Customer records import from a spreadsheet, so whatever you can export from your current system or your accountant's file can come in. Nothing is locked to a paid plan.
- What happens to my data if I stop using Swivl?
- It stays yours and you can export it. There is no contract to exit and no termination fee, because there was never a commitment to begin with.
- What actually costs money?
- Credits, once you run past your monthly allowance, and only on the metered features — AI estimates, texts and storage on Starter, plus receptionist minutes and GPS hours once you are on a plan that runs them. Scheduling a job, adding a customer, writing an estimate by hand, sending an invoice and taking payment cost nothing. Two things outside the software: publishing an ad campaign means funding your own ad spend, and card payments carry the payment processor's fee.
