Swivl Text Messaging
Swivl (swivl.tech) is software for home-service contractors, operated by Work Order Management, LLC d/b/a Swivl. Swivl’s AI receptionist answers inbound calls to a contractor’s business phone line. This page explains the text messages Swivl sends, who receives them, and how each person opts in and out.
Who sends the texts
Texts are sent by Swivl. A text to a caller names the contractor they called (for example “Hi Nina, thanks for calling Brush Service Group”). A text to a contractor account owner is about their own Swivl account and comes from Swivl’s notification number.
Who receives texts and how they opt in
1. People who call a contractor’s business line
A person opts in by calling a contractor’s business phone number answered by Swivl’s AI receptionist. During the call, the receptionist tells the caller it will text them. For example, before ending a call about a new job, the receptionist says:
“I’ll also text you a link so you can send us a few photos of the job.”
We text only the number that called, and only about that call. Callers are never added to a marketing list.
2. Contractor account owners
A contractor account owner opts in by entering their mobile number in their Swivl account at app.swivl.tech, during signup and onboarding, in their profile, or in AI receptionist setup. This text is shown directly under each of those mobile number fields:
“By adding your mobile number you agree to receive account alerts by text from Swivl. Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. See Terms and Privacy.”
“Terms” and “Privacy” link to the documents listed at the end of this page.
Text summaries after each call are off by default. An owner turns them on with the “Text me a summary after each call” switch in AI receptionist notification settings, and can turn them off there at any time.
Message types and examples
All messages are transactional. Swivl sends no marketing texts.
To callers, about the call they just made: a call follow-up, a link to send job photos, a booked visit time, or a note that the call did not connect.
- “Hi Nina, thanks for calling Brush Service Group. Send photos of the job here (link valid 24 hours): https://shorten.swivlconnect.com/2pf2zckc Reply STOP to opt out.”
- “Hi Paul, this is KR Drywall Repairs. You’re booked for Wed Oct 21, 2-4 PM. Reply here if you need to change it. Reply STOP to opt out.”
- “Hi Owen, this is Brush Service Group. Your call didn’t go through just now. We’ll get back to you soon. Reply STOP to opt out.”
To contractor account owners, about their own account: missed-call alerts, low credit balance, and phone-number notices.
- “Swivl: Skippy has about 9 minutes of credit left. Add credits to keep calls answered. https://app.swivl.tech/settings/ai-receptionist”
- “Swivl: Skippy now answers (478) 901-2735. Your old number (478) 555-0199 stops working on Nov 1. Texts to your customers now come from the new number.”
Message frequency
Message frequency varies. Callers receive texts only about a call they made. Account owners receive alerts only when an account event happens.
Cost
Msg & data rates may apply.
Opting out and getting help
