Getting Started with MAX Ads

Create, launch, and manage Facebook and Instagram ads directly from Swivl. MAX Ads uses AI to generate campaign content automatically, so you can start reaching new customers in minutes

Overview

With MAX Ads, service businesses can reach new customers on Facebook and Instagram without needing a separate ad platform or marketing tool. Describe what you want to advertise, let AI generate the content, set your budget and target location, and launch all from within Swivl. After launch, your campaign is automatically monitored and optimized by AI

Before You Begin

Before you can create ads with MAX Ads, you must first set up an ad account for each platform you want to advertise on. See Meta Ads Account Setup and Google Ads Account Setup to get your accounts ready.

Who can access this

MAX Ads is available to all roles in Swivl Super Admin, Admin, Lead Technician, and Technician. Any team member can create, manage, and monitor ad campaigns directly from Marketing → MAX Ads.

To get started with MAX Ads

  • Go to Marketing → MAX Ads.

  • If the feature is disabled, click Enable Feature to activate it.

  • Enter your business details and click Get Started.

  • MAX Ads includes a guided onboarding flow to help businesses start creating campaigns, with the option to skip setup and explore later.

  • Connect your Meta account to start launching campaigns.

  • After clicking Connect, you are redirected to the Meta login page to securely connect your Facebook account and continue setting up ad campaigns.
  • Log in to Facebook, confirm your profile, and grant the required permissions for your Pages, Businesses, and Instagram accounts.

  • Once connected, your Facebook Page, Instagram page, and Ad Account will show as Connected. Click Done.

  • On the Create Campaign page, describe what you are advertising, select your media, choose a goal (Leads, Messages, Phone Calls, or Traffic), set your daily budget, and add your target location

  • Click Generate Ad, Swivl's AI reads your business details and automatically creates ad content for you.

  • Preview your ads in Video, Image, or Carousel format. Use Edit Ad to manually adjust the content, or use Edit with AI to refine the copy and creative using AI. Click Ad Combinations to see all the creative variations Swivl has generated. When you're happy with the result, click Launch Campaign.

Once live, the Results tab shows campaign performance metrics including spend, impressions, clicks, conversions, CPC, CTR, and cost per result. Use the Campaign Status toggle to pause or re-enable a campaign at any time.

The Optimization & Insights tab uses AI to automatically monitor and improve campaign performance over time. The Creative Bank lets you add up to 50 images, videos, and ad copy variations that AI will test and rotate in your ads, replacing low performers and keeping campaigns fresh. The AI Optimizations timeline shows all scheduled and completed optimization actions so you can always see what AI is doing to improve your campaign.

Tips:

  • Start with a clear campaign goal Leads, Messages, Phone Calls, or Traffic as this helps AI generate more relevant ad content
  • Use real photos of your work or team for better engagement than stock images
  • Add multiple creatives to the Creative Bank early so AI has more to test and optimise with
  • Set a realistic daily budget and give campaigns at least 7–10 days before judging performance
  • Use Edit with AI to quickly refine ad copy rather than rewriting it manually
  • Check the Optimization & Insights tab regularly to see what AI is actioning and track improvements over time
