As a Lead Technician, you are responsible for managing assigned jobs, coordinating materials, and logging time in the field. Your Super Admin or Admin has already invited you to Swivl and assigned you a role, this guide helps you get set up and oriented on your first day.

Your day-one checklist
1. Log in and set up your account
Click the invitation link in the email from your company. Set your password and log in. You will land on the Dashboard.
2. Review your Dashboard
Your Dashboard shows a summary of the jobs and tasks assigned to you. Check for any upcoming work, overdue tasks, or recent updates from your team.
3. View your assigned jobs
Go to Work Order → Jobs in the sidebar. Here you will see the jobs assigned to you. Click on any job to view its details, including:
- Job description and customer information
- Tasks within the job
- Costs, estimates, and invoices linked to the job
- Media and documents uploaded to the job
4. Check your scheduled tasks
Go to Work Order → Task Scheduler to see your tasks on a calendar view. This helps you plan your day and see what is coming up.
5. Manage materials
Go to Inventory → Materials to view the materials available for your jobs. When you are on-site, you can log materials used so your team has accurate cost tracking.
6. Review time reports
Go to Reports → Time to see your logged hours. Time tracking helps your company bill accurately and measure productivity. Make sure to log your time consistently.
7. Update your profile
Click your avatar in the top-right corner and select My Profile to add your phone number, personal email, and profile photo. This helps your team reach you and identify you in the system.
Tips
- Use Search in the top bar to quickly find a job, task, or customer by name or keyword.
- If your company uses GPS tracking, your location may be visible to Admins and Super Admins while you are on the clock. Check with your manager for details.
- Download the Swivl mobile app (available on iOS and Android) to manage jobs and log time from the field.
